Vault for videographers

Video gets large quickly. 4K ProRes is roughly 0.5 to 2 GB per minute depending on the variant. 6K and 8K RAW are multiples of that. A single feature-length project can sit between 4 and 12 TB before color and conform. Vault is built to hold that quietly and predictably without reshuffling files for an algorithm that does not know what dailies are.
What this usually looks like
- Short docs and corporate work: 200 GB to 1 TB per project after conform.
- Branded series, episodic web work: 2 to 6 TB per season including dailies and selects.
- Feature-length or RAW-heavy work: 5 to 20 TB per project.
- Most editors want at least one full archived copy of dailies in addition to local NAS.

How retrieval works
Vault preserves originals bit-for-bit. When you pull a file, you get the file you uploaded, byte for byte, with the same timestamps and same metadata. No transcoded preview, no algorithm-managed sync folder, no surprise restore step.
